Beginnings of the Infinite
This is my first experience with a blog. I will try and keep the content relevant and focused so that it might be of some interest to those who visit it.
The first thing I would like to share with you is an image. To me this is a special image because it is an image which has helped me begin to embrace an understanding of the infinite. This is an image from the Hubble Telescope of not stars but galaxies found in just one small portion of the sky. As you are all probably aware, we live in the Milky Way Galaxy. This view contains tens of thousands of galaxies. When you consider that we are on a small planet in a small solar system at the outer edge of the Milky Way Galaxy, we can begin to aprreciate how incomprehensible the size and possibilities of the infinite are.
I do not share this image to make you feel small or insignificant. I share it to celebrate this amazing, diverse Universe which we are part of and which we have the priviledge to explore and experience with all of its infinite possibilities.
I also share it because we need to understand that as Spirit - we too are infinite. We too are incomprehensible. We too are all - each and every one of us - more than we appear to be. We are pregnant with life's possibilities. The Universe is Life and we are part of it.
The infinite is not the only thing which fills me with awe. I am also awed by each small miracle which we experience many times each day and yet we are blind to.
Look around you! Can you see them?
Spring is a great time to experience them as the earth blossoms with new life. The return of the birds, the opening of each flower, the soft warm breezes, the complexity of the connections, the smile of loved ones, the warmth of the sun - all these small miracles tell us not only that we are surrounded by the miraculous but that life and the Universe are not chaos but order. It is order which reigns supreme in our infinite Universe even though sometimes its feels chaotic, confused, and disoriented.
Find peace in the knowledge that you are connected to the All, that life is purposeful and that the chaos is an illusion.
Bright Blessings to you all
