"Grief is the price we pay for love." Queen Elizabeth II
In those moments when grief seems to overcome me I am reminded of the love I have felt in my life that has brought me to this place of great sorrow. It is in those moments I recognize that Love will also bring me to a place of healing. It is Divine Love that will surround me at every moment of my day. That will hold me in arms of Love..that will whisper words of comfort. It is from this place I draw strength.

Loss and grief are a natural and normal part of life whether it is the loss of someone we love or the loss experienced through change and challenge. Our reactions to loss can be unexpected, confusing , overwhelming. Each of us copes with loss in our own special way and even though there are elements which are predictable, our reactions to it may be unsettling. Sometimes we need support to help us meet its challenges and maybe get us past the pain and get unstuck.
Rev Barry, in this section, gives us some tools and words of comfort, wisdom and compassion which we hope will help you gently move through the grieving process towards healing and new life.

What our Loved One's on the Spirit-Side Want us to Know.
We are Spirit! I have worked with Spirit for over 30 years and the wonderful thing about this is that it is true. ...... The Top Things “Dead” People Want You to Know in their own words 1. They’re not ‘dead’.... 2. They're sorry for any pain they caused. 3.There is no such thing as a devil of hell. 4. You're not ready. 5. They finally understand what they were missing. 6. Nothing can prepare you for the beauty of the moment you arrive. 7. Don't try to understand this now, but life is exceedingly fair. 8. Your pets are as crazy, brilliant and loving, here, as they were there. 9. Life really is about love, but not just loving those who love you. |

"One of the great joys that I experience through working with Spirit is being able to connect to loved ones on the Spirit-side to help those who are grieving to at least know that their loved ones are OK and that they have moved to a higher life. There they are not only connected to those of us who remain in life but they are free of pain and free of the challenges they carried in their physical life. They know they are loved and they are free. " Rev Barry |

Change when it is lived as a sacred process often foreshadows spiritual transformation. All levels of change no matter how slight..how deeply penetrating..or disruptive..have something to show us about our beliefs and faith.
Change awakens us to life as the spiritual process that it is. Change can continually bring us closer to the Divine as we are offered insights into the fear...pain..and anxiety that separates us from loving ourselves as a divine aspect of the God-force.
Whatever comes to us can be a significant opportunity for spiritual growth..whether it was intended or not. What a gift when we begin to understand our life purpose is to grow in grace and to find union with the Divine Presence through Love.

"Tears are God's gift to us....Our Holy Water. They heal us as they flow."

When I sit quietly in moments of grief I recognize the sacredness of the tears that fall silently upon my face. I do not find my tears a show of weakness but rather a confirmation of an overwhelming love that has empowered and gifted my life.
